Rosalía Sánchez, Postdoc. Rosalia is working on new peptide-based drugs. Previously, from 2020-2024 Rosalía was a PhD student (Xunta de Galicia Fellow) in the group, her work focused on the use of metallopetides to control the formation of nanostructures as well as to develop luminescent probes.
Inés Obregón, PhD student (Xunta de Galicia Fellow). Inés is focused on the development of peptide-based materials to modulate cellular processes.

Francisco Ferreiro (2018) was a final year project student co-supervised with Prof. Carlos Platas. He worked on cell signaling probes.
Alba Mayo (2018) was a final year project student co-supervised with Prof. Carlos Jiménez. She was focused in bacterial detection with nanoparticles.
Irem Duman (2018) spent four months with us as an Erasmus Student. Irem worked on the development of luminescent peptide materials.
Pawel Suchan (2018) joined the group for three months as an Erasmus Trainee from Poland. He continued the work of Francisco Ferreiro on cell signaling probes.
Karolina Dworczak (2018) stayed in the group for three months as an Erasmus Trainee from Poland. She worked on new peptide-based luminescent materials.
Alejandro Castro (2019) was a Master student, co-supervised with Dr. María D. Mayán. He worked on new mimetic peptides with therapeutic potential aimed at connexin43.
Antía Pintor (2019) was a end-of-degree student, co-supervised with Prof. Marcos D. García. Her research was focused on peptide tools for the study of oxidative stress in cells.
Claudia Pigliacelli (2020) was a postdoc in the group. Claudia worked on self-assembled smart peptide materials and hybrid nanostructures.
Paula Novo (2018-2024) was a PhD student (FPU fellow) and postdoc in the group. During her PhD, co-supervised with Prof. Carlos Peinador, Paula worked on the development of peptide conjugates and studied their interaction with molecular receptors. As a postdoc, she worked on the development of keratin-based supramolecular materials.
Pablo Cortón (2018-2024) was a MSc and PhD student (Xunta de Galicia Fellow) in the group, co-supervised with Prof. Marcos D. García. During his PhD, Pablo worked on self-assembled smart peptide materials and imine-based macrocyclic receptors.
Esteban Suárez (2021-2025) was a postdoc (Xunta de Galicia Fellow) in the group. Esteban worked on the development of self-assembled smart peptide-based materials.
Roi López (2025) was a postdoc in the group. Roi worked on new peptide-based drugs and self-assembled materials.
Laura Gutiérrez (2025) was a postdoc in the group. Laura focused on the development of self-assembled peptide-based materials.
Agustín Sánchez (2022-2026) was a postdoc in the group. Gus worked on the application of self-assembled peptide-based materials into biological scenarios.
